Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
You can play the single-player game offline without a studio account. In versions offering Guild Hall, guild features require internet access and a separate supported sign-in. These guild features use Google sign-in on Android and remain unavailable on iPhone while its sign-in support is not offered. The game saves your progress on your device. In cloud-enabled releases, it also syncs a copy to your own iCloud account when syncing is on and an internet connection and iCloud storage are available. The Store needs an internet connection to show prices and make purchases. On Android, the cloud copy uses Google Play Games instead. Signing in is optional, and the game works without it.
I play on Android
Most answers on this page apply to Android too, with these differences:
- Saves. Your progress syncs through Google Play Games instead of iCloud. If you’re signed in to Play Games, it works like the iCloud sync described on this page, and its messages say Play Games and Google Account instead of iCloud and Apple Account. To move to a new phone, sign in to Play Games there with the same Google Account and open the game: it offers your save. If you’re not signed in, open Cloud and tap Sign In. Export to Clipboard and Import from Clipboard work too, and Android’s own backup (for example Google One backup) may also include the game.
- Restore Purchases. Open Options and tap Restore Purchases, signed in to Google Play with the Google Account you bought with. Permanent purchases come back; separate consumable purchases, such as gem packs, can’t be restored. Purchases don’t carry between iPhone and Android.
- Order ID. Google Play order IDs start with “GPA.”. You’ll find yours in Google Play’s receipt email, or in the Play Store app under your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Budget & history.
- “Payment pending”. You chose a payment method that takes time to clear, such as cash, or a family manager must approve the purchase in Family Link. The game delivers it once Google Play confirms the payment. If it doesn’t appear, close the game and open it again while you’re connected to the internet.
- Refunds. Purchases are final. Google Play handles refund requests under its own policies: you can ask it within 48 hours of buying, at Request a refund on Google Play. We don’t give refunds ourselves, except where your local law requires it.
- Family sharing. Google Play’s family library doesn’t include in-app purchases.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open Options and tap Restore Purchases. You can also find it at the bottom of the Store. Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used to buy.
Restoring brings back eligible permanent purchases, such as perks, bundles and unlock crates. Separate consumable purchases, such as gem packs, can’t be restored.
Can my family use my purchases?
Yes. Family Sharing is enabled for all permanent purchase products, including perks, bundles and unlock crates. Each person opens Options and taps Restore Purchases. Separate consumable purchases, such as gem packs, aren’t eligible for Family Sharing.
I paid, but I didn’t get my item
- Check your Apple purchase history to make sure the purchase went through. If it says it is pending, see My purchase says it’s waiting for approval.
- Close the game completely, then open it again while you’re connected to the internet. The game checks for undelivered purchases when it starts.
- If the item is still missing, email us with the Apple order ID.
Where do I find my Apple order ID?
You can find it in two places:
- Apple’s receipt email for the purchase.
- Your purchase history. In the App Store, tap your photo or initials, then Apps & Purchase History › Purchase History, then tap the purchase to see its order ID. You can also sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, which shows the order ID for each purchase.
Apple explains this in View your purchase history.
How do I get a refund?
Only Apple can refund App Store purchases. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple’s guide Request a refund shows the steps. We can’t give refunds ourselves, and we never see your payment details. On Android, see I play on Android. If Apple refunds a purchase, the game may remove the items or benefits it gave.
Is there a cloud save? I lost my progress.
In cloud-enabled releases, the game syncs a copy of your save to your own iCloud account when you’re signed in, Sync with iCloud is on, and an internet connection, iCloud service and storage are available. Check it in Cloud (from the menu, or Options › Save › Manage). The status line shows when it last synced. iCloud saves are free.
Your private cloud save and local recovery copies are the ways to restore progress. If you use Guild Hall, its separate fair-play snapshots are not a backup or restore service, and we cannot promise to recover lost progress from them. When you choose another save, reset, import or restore, the game keeps the save it replaces on your device for up to 30 days: open Cloud › Restore Previous Save. Restoring a previous save also keeps your current progress as a backup. For an automatic update that replaces changed local progress, the game attempts to keep a recovery copy, but that copy is not guaranteed.
To keep a backup of your own, open Cloud and tap Export to Clipboard, then paste the text somewhere safe. To bring it back, copy the text and tap Import from Clipboard. Importing replaces your current progress, and your iCloud save if sync is on. Your current progress is kept as a backup on the device, and purchases it received are added to the imported save, once each. A save from a newer version of the game can’t be imported until you update.
Your device’s own backup (iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer) may also include the game.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
- On your old iPhone, connect to the internet and open Cloud. Turn on Sync with iCloud, tap Sync Now, resolve any save-choice prompts, and wait until the status shows a successful sync from that attempt.
- On the new iPhone, sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, install a cloud-enabled version of the game and open it.
- Tap Continue when the game offers your iCloud save.
Your permanent purchases usually come across on their own. If one doesn’t, open Options and tap Restore Purchases.
Without iCloud, use Export to Clipboard on the old device and Import from Clipboard on the new one, then tap Restore Purchases.
iCloud save messages
- “iCloud is off”: the game saves on this device only. Sign in to iCloud, and turn on iCloud for Idle Celestial Harvest in Settings › [your name] › iCloud.
- “iCloud is restricted on this iPhone” (or iPad): Screen Time or a device profile (for example a school or work device) doesn’t allow iCloud for apps. The game saves on this device only.
- “Your Apple Account needs attention”: Apple needs you to re-enter your password or accept new terms. Open Settings and tap your name. Until then, the game saves on this device only.
- “iCloud storage is full”: your progress is still saved on the device. Free up iCloud storage. The game can retry when you next open it or tap Sync Now; check the Cloud status to confirm it succeeded.
- “Two Saves Found”: this device and iCloud have different progress of the same game, for example after playing on two devices offline. Choose the save to keep. The game marks the one that is further along as Recommended. The other save stays on the device for up to 30 days, and purchases made in only one of them are added to the one you keep. Decide Later keeps playing on this device without syncing until you choose.
- “Two Different Games” / “New Game in iCloud”: iCloud holds a different game, for example one started, reset or imported on another device signed in to the same Apple Account. Choose the game to keep, or tap Turn Off iCloud Sync to keep each device’s game separate. The game you don’t keep stays on the device, with its own purchases.
- “Continue Your iCloud Save?”: a new device, or a game just begun, is offered the save in iCloud. If that save is someone else’s (a shared Apple Account), tap Turn Off iCloud Sync to keep this device’s game separate; the iCloud save isn’t changed.
- “Older Save in iCloud”: the iCloud save is behind this device’s, for example after an earlier save was restored on another device.
- “iCloud Save Changed”: you chose this device’s save, but iCloud changed again before it could be stored. Choose again.
- “Different Save on This iPhone” (or iPad): this device has another or an older game than the one it last synced, for example after Reset Game, Import or a restore while iCloud sync was off, or after restoring a device backup. The game asks before replacing your iCloud save, and keeps asking until you choose, however long you play meanwhile.
- “Different Apple Account”: the device is signed in to another Apple Account than when the game last synced. The game never copies your progress into another account without asking, and asks a second time before replacing that account’s save (also when that save can’t be read). Turn Off iCloud Sync leaves that account’s save alone.
- “iCloud Save Deleted”: the iCloud copy was deleted on another device or in iCloud settings. Choose whether to save this device’s progress to iCloud again.
- “iCloud Save Can’t Be Read”: the copy in iCloud is damaged or incomplete. Your progress on the device is safe. You can replace the iCloud copy with it.
- “Update Required”: your iCloud save was made by a newer version of the game. Update the game from the App Store. Until then, nothing is uploaded.
- Turning sync off or deleting the iCloud copy: go to Cloud in the menu (the Cloud & Backup screen). Sync with iCloud turns syncing off on this device only. Delete iCloud Save (available while sync is on) checks iCloud again, then removes the copy from iCloud and turns syncing off on this device. If that check detects a different copy, the game asks you to review it before deleting. Unless that copy is the save this device last synced and has kept playing since, it stays on this device for up to 30 days (Restore Previous Save, “the iCloud save you deleted”).
What are the odds for chests and other random rewards?
Open the Store and tap the Odds tab, or tap Odds next to the item. The game shows the odds before you buy. Each opening is a separate random roll. Some odds depend on your progress. For example, a relic that has reached its cap stops dropping while other relics of its tier are available, and some upgrades raise your chances. The Odds screen always shows your current odds.
My purchase says it’s waiting for approval
That means Ask to Buy is on for your Apple Account. The family organizer has to approve the purchase. Once they approve it, the game delivers it. If it doesn’t appear, close the game and open it again while you’re connected to the internet.
How do I delete my data?
- Reset your progress: Options › Reset Game starts a new game and retains purchase-delivery records. With iCloud sync on, Reset Game also replaces your iCloud save when its confirmation says so. The previous game, and any earlier saves listed under Cloud › Restore Previous Save, stay on the device for up to 30 days.
- Game data on your device: delete the app to remove its local saves and recovery copies. Copies on other devices, exported copies and device backups must be managed separately.
- Your iCloud save: Cloud › Delete iCloud Save (turn on Sync with iCloud there first if it is off), or your device’s iCloud storage settings. Deleting the app doesn’t delete it.
- Purchase records kept by RevenueCat, the service that manages our purchases: email us the Apple order ID of any purchase, with the subject “Data deletion request”. We’ll delete the records and confirm within 30 days. Deleting them doesn’t refund or cancel anything. The next time you open the game online, a new record is created with the same anonymous ID. To prevent that, delete the app too (export your save first if you want to keep your progress). Your permanent purchases may stop working in the game until you tap Restore Purchases.
- Emails you sent us: ask us, and we’ll delete them.
- Guild account, in versions offering Guild Hall: use Options › Guild Account › Delete Guild Account. It removes the account, routine snapshots and membership; leadership passes to another member or the last member closes the guild. Flagged evidence and its identifying link can remain while a case is reviewed and for two years after a human decision. Sign Out keeps the account. You can also use the guild-account deletion email instructions below, without opening the app.
- In-game Feedback: email us the FB-reference shown in the game. Deleting the server message does not automatically remove cached previews/replies on the phone, service logs, internal digest emails or separate support-tool copies. Tell us if your request includes those copies. Removing app data removes local feedback data and local game progress; preserve the progress you want first.
The iCloud copy belongs to your Apple Account. On Android, your Play Games copy belongs to your Google Account; delete it through Cloud › Delete Play Games Save, your Play Games profile settings, or your Google Account. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.
Does the game have ads or track me?
No. The game has no ads and does not track you across other companies’ apps and websites. We do not add continuous gameplay analytics for the studio. We do receive store and purchase reports, optional feedback and its attached details, and guild progress and fair-play data when you use those features. On Android, Google Play Games separately sends Google usage and diagnostic information for Google’s own purposes. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I report a bug?
In versions offering Feedback, open Miscellaneous › Feedback, choose Bug, Idea or Other, and describe what happened. The Include game details switch starts on and can be turned off before sending. It attaches version, device, progress and an available guild Player ID. Replies appear in Your Feedback; there are no push notifications or email replies from that feature. Keep the FB-reference if you contact us about the report.
You can also email us what happened and the steps that lead to it. A screenshot or screen recording can help. Avoid sending passwords, payment card numbers or identity documents. Our Privacy Policy explains hosting, internal summaries, AI-assisted support and retention.
Guild account deletion
You can request deletion of your Idle Celestial Harvest guild account from this page, without opening or reinstalling the game:
- Email paultroxel@spellwrightstudios.com with the subject Guild account deletion.
- Send the request from the Google email address used for guild sign-in. Include your Player ID if available; it appears under Options › Guild Account in the game. If you no longer have access to that email address, tell us so we can discuss another way to verify your request.
- State that you want the guild account deleted. We may request additional information to identify the account and verify the request. Do not send your password, sign-in tokens or payment card details.
Deletion removes your guild membership, generated player name registration, player account and routine snapshot summaries/files, and initiates deletion of the Firebase Authentication user. Leadership passes to another member or the last member closes the guild. Google states that authentication data is removed from its live and backup systems within 180 days after deletion is initiated; this is separate from deletion of the studio's player records. See Firebase's privacy information.
Fair-play notices, flagged evidence and the identifying link may remain while a notice is reviewed and for two years after a human decision. Purchase-verification cache, request and administrative-excerpt logs, internal digest emails and support-tool copies are not automatically removed by guild-account deletion; their separate retention is explained in the Privacy Policy. Tell us if your request also concerns those copies or a feedback message.
Guild-account deletion does not delete your Google Account, Play Games cloud save, local single-player progress or store purchase history. You can instead delete the guild account in the app through Options › Guild Account › Delete Guild Account. Sign Out keeps the account.
Guild Hall and fair-play questions
In versions offering Guild Hall, it unlocks at Halo 5. Guild play is optional and has its own Google sign-in on Android, separate from Play Games cloud saves. Guild names and player names are generated. Guild membership information and selected progress details are public; email addresses are not shown to other players.
Signing in enables periodic save-snapshot uploads for guild features and fair-play review. Automated findings are reviewed by a person. A guild restriction leaves offline single-player play available. If the game shows a restriction you believe is mistaken, email us with your Player ID and the note shown in the game. See the Privacy Policy for snapshot retention and account deletion.
